Wigs that look and feel just like your hair
About Us
Ńtùtù simply means "hair" in Igbo language. The goal is to rock wigs that don't look like wigs, that don't look unauthentic.
If you want a wig that looks just like your hair, so that when your hair is in a protective style, you still show up as your authentic self, or you love afro-textured hair, and you like to experiment with styles, lengths and even colour, you are in the right place!
Our wigs are carefully curated to ensure they look and feel just like our hair as Africans. We are increasing African representation in the global beauty industry.
Founder's Story
Ever since I could choose for myself, I’ve always wanted to wear my hair. I love my texture, I love afro hair. But at the same time, I didn’t always want to keep it out, I wanted to protect it, to reduce all the manipulation, and shield it from harsh weather.
So naturally, I turned to wigs. But what I found broke my heart. They weren’t true to my texture, they didn’t look like me, they didn’t feel like me. It almost felt like I had to become someone else every time I wore one.
And I remember thinking: why isn’t there something for us? Why isn’t there something that celebrates the beauty of our own textures?
That’s when I decided to do something about it. With my hairstyling experience, I started sourcing hair in our texture and making wigs that actually felt like me. And in the process, I met other women who wanted the same thing.
That’s how Ńtùtù was born. Out of my pain, and the pain of so many African women who just want to see themselves represented.
Ńtùtù is personal to me. It’s my love letter to myself, and to every Black woman who has ever felt unseen in the beauty industry. It’s a reminder that our hair is enough.
I can’t wait to see how you rock your Ńtùtù!
